Prana is the Sanskrit word for breath. It is also the same word used for energy.
Yama means to control or restrict.
The practices of Pranayama are those which give us direct access our energy body through the manipulation of the breath. These practices have greatly been overlooked by modern western yoga practitioners, yet these practices far outdate modern asana and were the secret to the mastery of the Yogic sages.
Not only do pranic practices create a powerfully positive, healing impact on our brain, nervous system and the physical body, they can take us into direct spiritual experiences.
This course is highly accessible to anyone who is interested in deeply understanding the energy body & the practices that directly access it. It is suitable for total beginners, experienced yogi's & yoga teachers.
A unique feature of this course is the introduction of Tantric philosophy & breath meditations that are woven into the practice recordings.
